🎉It's a New Year Bobcats!

August 1st kicks off a fresh new year for the Bell Elementary PTA, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Let’s bust a myth real quick:

You don’t have to be at the school every day.
You don’t have to attend every meeting.
You don’t even have to volunteer (unless you want to!).

In fact, all of your PTA board members are just like you—working parents, small business owners, college students, multitasking superheroes juggling all the things. ✨

So what can you do?
👉 Just joining the PTA as a paid member ($11.00) makes a BIG impact. Seriously. It helps fund events, classroom support, and school-wide programs that benefit every student.

Did you know...

We have our first male board member this year?
PTA get-togethers are actually fun (snacks, laughs, and lots of good energy)?
We’re all about what’s best for Bell, our students, and our amazing staff—just like you?

So let’s squash those PTA myths and start the year strong.

Join PTA today, and remember—PTA Your Way! Whether you prefer to be behind the scenes or a hands-on helper, there’s a place for you!

Want to volunteer?
Be sure to complete the Denton ISD background check—we’ll be looking for volunteers as early as September for the Fall Book Fair! 📚

Ready to jump in?
Reach out to Alex Malone at volunteer@bellelementarypta.org to help you get started.

Whether you’re wiping away tears or doing a happy dance after drop-off, stop by the Library for refreshments, meet fellow Bobcat parents, and say hi to your Bell PTA Board—we’d love to see you there!

Did you know your grocery runs can help support Bell Elementary? 🛒 With the Box Tops for Education app, every eligible product you purchase earns money for our school—just by scanning your receipt!

📸 Snap a photo in the app and that’s it—quick, easy, and no clipping required.

Stop by the Box Tops table during Meet the Teacher or scan the QR code to get started.

📱 iPhone tip:
Take a screenshot of the QR code on your phone, then tap and hold the image. It’ll take you straight to the Box Tops landing page!

Every little bit adds up—and it’s one of the easiest ways to support our students and staff all year long.

We need 100% of Bell students to complete the Free & Reduced Lunch application—even if you don’t qualify, and even if your child doesn’t eat school lunch.

Why? Because when every family submits the application, it gives our school a more accurate picture of student needs. This information helps Bell qualify for important funding and grants—which can lead to things like free meals for all students in the future. 🍎✨

It takes less than 5 minutes to complete:

Sign in on the School Café app or website
Select “Apply for School Meals” from the main menu
Complete and submit the application

Thank you for doing your part to support every Bobcat at Bell!

Bell Elementary is excited to introduce a new program designed to bring more positive male role models into our school: Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)!

This innovative program encourages fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer at our school. As a Watch D.O.G., you'll have the chance to help in classrooms, during lunch, and around campus, providing an invaluable presence that enhances our school's safety and positive atmosphere. It's a fantastic way to be more involved in your child's education and make a tangible difference.

We're confident this program will be a huge success and greatly benefit our students. If you're ready to be a Watch D.O.G., we'd love to have you!

Did you know that PTA is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization? Our own Bell PTA is part of a powerful network that includes the Denton ISD Council PTA, Texas PTA, and the National PTA—all working together to support students and schools across the country.

At every level, the mission is the same: advocate for kids.
As parents and caregivers, advocacy is something we already do—whether it’s helping with homework, attending parent-teacher conferences, or making sure our students have what they need to succeed.

So how can we come together to strengthen our voice?
Start by sharing your priorities with us! What matters most to you and your family at Bell?
