March brought all the momentum, and Superintendent Dr. Lupita Hinojosa is giving us the full scoop in her latest Superintendent Round-Up! Dekaney High School hosted not one, but two powerful events—Boys Empowerment and Girls Empowerment—bringing students together to build confidence, leadership, and connection. 💬✨ Meanwhile, a group of incredible student leaders hit the road to Austin, heading to the Texas Capitol to speak up, share their stories, and advocate for change. That’s just the start—this month’s video is packed with even more highlights you won’t want to miss. Catch the full March recap here: https://youtu.be/zltMHLnhYnk 🎥
Heritage Elementary lit up with curiosity and creativity as families explored ecosystems, uncovered the science of sound, met real venomous animals, and dove into all kinds of mind-blowing STEAM fun! 🐍 Every station sparked excitement and made learning feel like an adventure. Major thanks to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, our awesome community partners, dedicated staff, and all the families who made this Saturday one for the books!
Who says you can’t cash in on hard work? 💸 Eleven Westfield High seniors just did exactly that, snagging CTE scholarships thanks to Spring ISD’s CTE Advisory Board! These Mustangs are blazing trails with envelopes full of opportunity, showing that dedication and drive open doors. Way to make those dreams happen—we’re cheering you on every step of the way! 🐎
Spring ISD golfers weren’t "puttin’" around at the 14-6A District Golf Tournament—they came to win and are now headed to the UIL Regionals in April! Dekaney’s Sarea Thorns nailed 1st place 🥇, while Westfield’s Justin Huitron landed 3rd 🥉 and punched his ticket to the next round. Spring High’s girls team crushed it with a 2nd place 🥈 finish—plus a 3rd place medal 🥉 for Hollie—and the boys team went full swing, taking both 1st 🥇 and 2nd 🥈 place honors. Big shoutout to Montoya, the top medalist! Way to drive it home, golfers—this season is tee-rific! ⛳
Spring ISD Bond Update Keeping Our Schools Safe and Modern
Spring ISD is building big—and it’s only Q1! Thanks to the $850 million bond passed in 2022, every campus is seeing exciting upgrades that boost safety, comfort, and innovation. New video doorbell cameras and security window film are enhancing school safety, while high schools are revving up with custom-wrapped buses and a fleet of sleek new police cruisers. Over at Winship Elementary, a $507K chiller is keeping classrooms cool, and fresh flooring is giving the campus a whole new vibe. Add in state-of-the-art BenQ interactive panels and charging stations, and you’ve got a districtwide glow-up in full swing. Shoutout to our community for fueling the future—Spring ISD is just getting started! 🚧🔥
