Welcome to Spring Break

Heritage Academy Pinnacle will be closed Monday, 3/17- Thursday, 3/20 for spring break.

AzSCI and AASA State Testing is Almost Here

Our 5th and 8th grade scholars will kick off our state testing season on Monday, March 24th (the first day we return from spring break).

It is so important that ALL of our scholars are present for state testing. To that end, we are going to do an attendance challenge. Everyday that scholars are present on scheduled testing days, they will earn entries to win prizes.

Additionally, we will keep track of our attendance on testing days- if we have at least 95% of our scholars at school on testing days, they will collectively work towards a FREE DRESS DOWN DAY!

How can you help?

We would love donations of Lifesaver mints and Jolly Ranchers, and mini water bottles. We will provide these to scholars during testing.

Please make a note of our AASA/AzSCI testing schedule and avoid scheduling doctor's appointments, vacations, etc. on testing days. If scholars are absent on scheduled testing days, they will be pulled another day during the testing window to make up the missed test, which means they will miss additional class time.

Upcoming Construction and NEW Driveline Procedures Upcoming Construction and NEW Driveline Procedures

Starting on March 24th, the City of Peoria is going to add an underground drainage system along Pinnacle Peak Rd starting at 70th Ave and extending all the way to 67th ave. Construction is scheduled to conclude Memorial Day weekend. The median on the north side of Pinnacle Peak Rd will be lined with construction vehicles and fencing, taking up all of the dirt that parents park on while waiting for driveline.

What does that mean for before and after school driveline?

Parents cannot sit and wait on Pinnacle Peak Rd during the construction window, please be aware that the construction company will have law enforcement present, and if cars stop and wait along Pinnacle Peak Rd in either direction, they will be asked to move.

New Driveline Procedures

To help our parents avoid waiting on Pinnacle Peak Rd, we will do the following starting on Monday, 3/24 when we return from spring break.

  1. We will open driveline gates earlier before and after school. IMPORTANT- for safety reasons, do not let scholars out of your vehicle in the morning until staff are present and opening doors.
  2. AFTER SCHOOL ONLY- if you are the first vehicles in the driveline, please pull ALL the way around the back of the school until you reach the exit gate. We will escort scholars down to those cars until we reach our normal pick up zone. SEE THE BLACK X IN THE DIAGRAM BELOW.
  3. Pull forward- whether you are picking up in the back driveline or front (for kinder), we need parents to pull all the way forward (look out for new signage). We should be able to load three cars at once in the back drive. Kinder parents should pull all the way past the preschool to wait. SEE THE RED X IN THE DIAGRAM BELOW.

Big Truck Night is not only one of our biggest family and community events of the year, it is also a great opportunity for our families to share their businesses, bring local vendors on campus, and partner with our community.

We would still love to add more vendors and vehicles. If you are interested, please call the front office at 623-537-3535 or email Ms. Lenhart.

You don't want to miss it!

2025 Family Kickball Night 2025 Family Kickball Night

Thank you to our PTO for planning and hosting our annual family kickball night. Even though it was a bit cold, we had an AMAZING turnout of scholars, parents, older siblings, and grandparents. With the help of parents, we had two active kickball games happening (one for older scholars and one for younger). The night finished off with pizza. If you missed it this year, be sure to join us next year.

Driveline Procedures Driveline Procedures

Morning driveline begins at 7:30 a.m.

Afternoon driveline is 3:15-3:30 p.m. (gates open at 2:30 p.m.)

RED ARROWS- this is the kindergarten driveline for pick-up after school only. All kindergarten scholars (with their 1st-8th grade siblings) will be waiting in the courtyard and they will exit through the wooden gates to load their cars. Pull as far forward as possible. See the red X.

IMPORTANT! Liberty Kids Preschool uses this curb to pick up at 2:45 p.m. Kinder parents cannot start lining up on the curb until 3:00 p.m.

BLACK ARROWS- this is the driveline for 1st-8th grade pick-up. The gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Please pull as far forward as possible so we can remove traffic from Pinnacle Peak Rd.

Waiting on Pinnacle Peak Rd- cars that are facing WEST need to pull as far off the road and into the dirt as possible while they wait to enter the parking lot.

Out of consideration for other parents who have been waiting in line, please do not drive through and then wait in the parking lot to cut the drive line. We have received multiple complaints from parents who are waiting in the long line. We appreciate everyone doing their part and showing each other courtesy and patience.

Please follow these guidelines for a safe and efficient pick up:

  • Have your car tag clearly displayed.
  • Pull up to the furthest cone possible.
  • If you need to buckle your child, pull forward and off to the side.
  • Eyes up, phone down please!
  • Show citizenship, patience, and courtesy to other parents & drivers- YOU are setting an example for all of our scholars.

IMPORTANT NOTICE- Student Pick-up Time Limit

After school, scholars should be picked up by 3:30 p.m.

Scholars who are still on campus after 3:30 (and parents are not actively waiting in driveline) will be walked to Hero Club and parents will be charged a $20 non-registration fee plus $2/minute past 3:45 p.m. After two occurrences, your scholar will be enrolled in Hero Club at the monthly fee.

If you know you will frequently arrive later than 3:15, please register your scholar for Hero Club.
