You're Invited! HPISD Annual District Art Show Opening Thursday, April 24th
You're all invited to our annual District Art Show opening reception! The event will take place April 24th at 4:00 pm in the Clements Center upstairs lobby area. There will be light refreshments, a string quartet based out of our own HPHS Orchestra program, and art from students K-12! We hope you're able to join us for this wonderful reception, but if not, the art show will remain up in the Clements Center until April 30th. You can also visit our new webpage to check out a digital gallery, organized by campus, using the link below!
Second Annual UP Plushies Event!
University Park kindergartners and HPHS art students collaborated to make the second annual UP Plushies event an amazing success! Kindergartners at University Park designed and drew monsters and creatures from their imaginations, which Ms. Talkington's freshman art students turned into real life stuffed animals! The high schoolers presented the kinders with their plushie and gave them an adoption certificate to mark the special occasion. The buddies then worked together to make paper monsters to decorate Ms. Torres' bulletin board display! We are so glad this event could be made possible again this year, and we can't wait to see what next year's plush friends will look like! Many thanks to Jen Torres and Jenai Talkington for creating and organizing this event, as well as several student and faculty helpers.
