OH NO!!! YOUR LITTLE BRICKIE ISN'T FEELING WELL?
If your child isn't feeling well, please keep him or her at home. You must report the absence IN SKYWARD before 10:00AM. There is no need to call the school to let us know. If there are any questions about the absence, we will reach out to you.
Meet Our MTSS Team!
With more than 14 years in education, Mrs. Monger has a passion for helping kids learn, grow, and feel successful. Before finding her home in education, she worked in the business world, which may explain why she still loves a good plan, a creative idea, and finding ways to make things work just a little better!
Outside of school, Mrs. Mongerβs favorite role is being a mom. She loves spending time with her family, traveling and exploring new places, cooking (and, of course, enjoying good food!), and staying active. She is also a huge fan of all things Harry Potter and is always ready for a little extra magic in her life! β‘οΈ
Whether sheβs supporting students, trying a new recipe, planning her next adventure, or spending time with the people she loves most, Mrs. Monger believes life is best when itβs filled with laughter, new experiences, family, and just the right amount of magic. β¨
Hi, my name is Ginger Sawyer. I am the MTSS aide here at the ELC. This is my 9th year at the ELC. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and hold a teaching license as well as the literacy endorsement. I have been married to my husband Jason for 19 years and have a 15-year-old son named Nolan, who is a sophomore at Hobart High. I also am a Hobart graduate. I work at Schoops as well. I love to shop and decorate for all the holidays!
Over 30 years with the School City of Hobart, and still loving watching little learners grow! I taught kindergarten for 25 years and am now in my eighth year as an interventionist at Liberty. This year, Iβm excited to be back at the ELC, splitting my day between the ELC and Liberty. Two schools, one passion: helping children build confidence and shine!
Gym information and reminders from Ms. Brooks
This week in gym they put their dodgeball skills to the test! Teachers even joined in on the fun.
- Please remember to send gym shoes with your child on their gym day. NO crocs or sandals as these are tripping hazards and we don't want anyone getting hurt during gym.
Library information and reminders from Mrs. Tinoco
This week in Library we read "A Very Big Fall" and "CREEPY CARROTS!"
We talked about the different seasons and what happens during fall. In our story the leaves are changing colors and falling off the trees. This change was fun for some leaves and made others nervous. We talked about how change can be scary but also very beautiful. The got a kick out of the creepy carrots and how they tricked Jasper the Rabbit out of eating them.
- Each Monday will be library checkouts for every kindergarten class. Please remember to send your child's book back to school with them each week.
- If you have any questions about library, please contact me at stinoco@hobart.k12.in.us
STEM information from Mrs. Tinoco
This week in STEM the kids were in charge of their very own mini volcanos! Last time they saw me they learned about observations. They were able to learn what ingredients it took to make a volcano while I did the mixing. This time around they each got their very own apple and did the mixing themselves. They were really excited to become scientists and create the reactions on their own.
