Ordering MHCC Transcripts:
Seniors, if you need an unofficial transcript of your earned credits at MHCC, log in here on your MyMHCC account and look for the link that says Unofficial Transcript. Download a copy and use it for your scholarship applications.
At the end of this school year, you will want to request an official transcript from MHCC to be sent to your future college so your credits will transfer there.
Remember, if you have AP credits, you will need to request those from the CollegeBoard and have them sent to your future college to be added to your transcript.
Seniors-Your Evening of Excellence is in the planning stages
Put this date on your calendar!
Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00pm is the SBHS Evening Of Excellence. This event is where local scholarship donors award their scholarships to our students and is also a chance for SBHS to acknowledge support from local businesses and service groups. Students will also be recognized for a variety of honors including CTE program completers.
All students and families are welcome to attend. Scholarship winners, or students being recognized for another honor, will receive an invitation in the mail. This event is not set up to recognize every scholarship earned by students but is a pared down event for local recognition.
PWA Youth Careers Expo 2026
The College and Career Center took a group of students to the PWA Youth Careers Expo on March 17th. The Expo shows students the region's amazing diversity of career opportunities, and offers information on the skills and education needed for those jobs.
April is Community College Month!
Attending community college is a stepping stone to lots of awesome academic and professional pathways! If you decide that enrolling in a community college is the right choice for you after high school, Get Schooled can support you along every step of the way. Read their guide on applying to community college to learn more about researching, applying, and enrolling!
Seniors, your financial aid offer letters are here! But what do all those numbers mean? Before making any decisions, it’s important to know what’s free money and what you'll have to pay (or repay). Get Schooled’s guide on how to read your financial aid offer letter walks you through what to look for and how to compare offers! (Also available in Spanish!)
Lifeguard Training
Interested in becoming a lifeguard? Please see the flyers below for spring Lifeguard Course options. Class will be held at Sam Barlow Pool.
This course is open to anyone who meets the prerequisites (you do not need to be a Barlow student), so feel free to pass this info to others who might be interested.
Maximum of 10 per class, first come first serve.
Abby's Closet Student Advisory Board
We are currently recruiting for the 2026-2027 Student Advisory Board.
The Student Advisory Board (SAB) is made up of high school students who actively support Abby’s Closet through direct service, outreach, and public relations. The SAB brings energy and fun to Abby’s Closet activities and acts in an advisory capacity to the Abby’s Closet Board of Directors throughout the school year.
We meet monthly at the Clubhouse in Tualatin (where the dresses are stored), with our focus being on everything from organizing donated dresses, building leadership skills, brainstorming ways to make the event better, and planning fundraising activities.
Our application is open to any high school student, however we are mainly recruiting rising sophomores (class of 2029) and juniors (class of 2028). All students interested in supporting the mission of Abby's Closet are welcome to apply.
Applications are due by April 30, 2026 at 5pm. Click on the photo for a link to the application.
