Normandy Schools Collaborative Be Safe Be Healthy Campaign: Covid Symptoms

Symptoms of COVID-19

As COVID-19 cases dramatically increase in our community, now is a great time to remind students, families and colleagues of proven tips to help keep the virus away. This video features Nurse Belinda Hilliard with NELC, explaining what symptoms may be from COVID-19.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms Nurse Hilliard describes, please get tested immediately. Free COVID testing is available through St. Louis County Department of Health.

To check out the latest guidelines from the CDC, visit its website: https://www.cdc.gov

St. Louis County has a wealth of COVID-19 resources as well as vaccine information on its website: www.revivestl.com

NSC's COVID mitigation plan and other helpful resources are posted on the website: www.normandysc.org/BeSafeNormandy

REMINDER: Masks are REQUIRED for all students and staff in classrooms, buildings and on buses.

Wash U Pauses COVID Testing Due to Staff Shortages

As has been reported, local and national COVID-19 cases have increased dramatically since last month. The increased demand for testing has led the project with Washington University to be put on hold for the next two weeks. WUSTL has provided free COVID testing weekly at North County school districts including the Friday testing at the Normandy Early Learning Center.

Testing is available by appointment with the St. Louis County Department of Health locations on Hanley Road and Jennings Station Road. The county has recently opened a new testing site at the North County Recreation Complex, 2577 Redman Avenue. To set an appointment, visit www.reviveSTL.com.

Walk-up testing and vaccines are available daily at the Dellwood Recreation Center (see graphic at right).

To qualify for this incentive, individuals must:

  • Be 5 years of age or older
  • Get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at a Department of Public Health (DPH) vaccination event.

Families with multiple children are eligible to receive gift cards for each child who is fully vaccinated.
