A Message from the Principal
CCHS Students and Families:
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to extend my gratitude to our entire CCHS community. This season reminds us of the importance of coming together, supporting one another, and celebrating the many successes—big and small—that happen each day in our school.
I am especially thankful for our dedicated students, supportive families, and hardworking staff who make CCHS a place where learning, growth, and community thrive. Your commitment and resilience continue to inspire me. I hope this Thanksgiving brings you rest, joy, and time spent with those who matter most. Thank you for all you do to help our Comet community shine.
Happy Thanksgiving, and Go Comets!
Mr. Steve Fairs
Principal

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences at Central Crossing High School will be held on Wednesday, December 10, from 3:30–7:30 PM. Families can schedule their conferences using the link below:
https://cchs.swcsd.us/parent-teacher-conferences
We encourage all families to connect with teachers and discuss student progress as we move into the second half of the semester.
End of Course Testing
Students in cohort 2026 and 2027 who have not yet met graduation competency in English Language Arts II and Algebra I will have the opportunity to retake the state end-of-course exams the week of December 8, 2025. Students who still need to reach this graduation standard will receive a letter during homeroom Monday, November 24th, which will list the test that they need to take along with the date and location of their testing. Guardians of students who will test will also receive an email with this same information Monday evening.
- Please ensure that your student is present on the day they are assigned for testing, as these tests are graduation requirements!
- Test preparation for the ELAII and Algebra I exams will be held December 1-5, from 7:20-7:50am, in the ERC.
Canned Food Drive Update
Thank you, Central Crossing families! Our Comet community truly came through on the final day of the canned food drive. We collected a total of 4,485 cans, including 1,435 cans brought in today alone—that’s 1,182 more cans than last year! All donated items will support members of our community throughout the winter months. We are so proud to be Comets!
A special thank-you goes out to the organizers of the Winter Kickoff, who donated the cans collected from their blanket raffle to support our drive. Food will be picked up in mid-December. If you still have cans to contribute, please send them in to Room 124.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” Success!
Thank you to all the parents, staff, and community members who supported our showings of The Play That Goes Wrong this week. The cast, crew, and director, Mr. Weaver, delivered a fantastic performance that kept audiences laughing and highlighted their hard work and talent.
