Red Hawk Update
Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026
Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration was held on Friday.
The auditorium was packed and the performances were outstanding. There was a lot of love, joy, community, and unity shown in respect to the diverse Hispanic cultures reflected at MHS.
PSAT Is This Wednesday!
This is a great opportunity for students to come to school and demonstrate their confidence using the academic skills they've learned over the years. We encourage each student to get a good nights rest, eat breakfast whether at home or at school, and charge their school issued Chromebook. Arrive to school on time and be ready with a positive attitude. You got this! We believe in you!
Students in grades 9-11 take the PSAT. Seniors will not have classes that day, but have the option to come in and get work done in a quiet study hall area, OR take advantage of working with Mr. Moyano in our College and Career Readiness Center.

- 5-10mph speed limit in the parking lots
- Respect crosswalk and students/staff crossing first
- Quick drop offs to keep the lines moving
- Avoid passing on the left
- Arrive early and on time to avoid last minute drop off rush (students are expected to be in class at 7:30am)
Photo retakes & make-ups are coming up Monday, November 2nd. This applies to the following students:
- Grades 9-11 who missed the original photo day.
- Grades 9-11 who would like a retake from the original photo day. (Photo proofs will be distributed during English classes over the next few days. You and/or your guardians should have also received an email from G&B Photography to view your proofs. If you ordered photos please bring these back with you to your next appointment.)

If you would like to sign up for a retake or makeup, you must complete this form by Tuesday, October 27th. A schedule of when to go down for your photo will follow once all responses are received. Photos will take place in the auditorium.
