Principal's Message
Count Down To The Finish
Dear Students and Families,
As we welcome the month of May, we are entering the final stretch of our school year, a time filled with important milestones, celebrations, and opportunities to finish strong.
I want to begin by recognizing the dedication and perseverance our students have shown in the online learning environment this year. Learning virtually requires strong time management, self-discipline, and commitment, and we are proud of the effort our students continue to demonstrate each day.
As we move through May, it is important for students to remain engaged, log in consistently, and complete all coursework and final assessments. Staying connected with teachers and keeping up with assignments will ensure a successful end to the year.
For our seniors, this is an especially exciting time. Graduation and prom are right around the corner, and we look forward to celebrating your accomplishments and all you’ve achieved during your time with us. Please be sure to monitor your school email and course platforms for important updates, deadlines, and event details.
Families, your support is more important than ever during this final month. We encourage you to check in regularly with your student, review their progress, and help them maintain a structured daily routine. Your partnership helps keep students motivated and on track in a virtual setting.
We have several important events approaching, including final exams, prom, and graduation ceremonies. Please review this newsletter carefully for dates, expectations, and participation details so you don’t miss any key information.
Let’s work together to make this final month of the school year focused, positive, and successful for all.
Warm appreciation,
Shonti Land
AZVA High School Principal

Attendance Check!
Did you know daily attendance is required for all students? Learning Coaches should count attendance for time spent in live class sessions, independent study, and any outside-the-classroom learning experiences for each student.
Stay on track! To avoid the risk of withdrawal, please ensure your student doesn't miss more than 10% of their required attendance.
Reach out to your teachers if you have any questions!
