BES Bulldog Bark - Monday, October 19th
Dear Buda Bulldog Families,
Thank you to all of the families, staff and community members that came out Friday night to our Fall Fest! We had an awesome turnout and loved seeing all of our families enjoy a fun filled family evening. A big shout out to HHS Mariachi Los Halcones, who helped kick off the evening with a stellar performance and a big shout out to all of our dancers from Dance Unlimited! HEB surprised us on Friday with snacks for our staff to end our instructional day, a special HEB Buddy appearance and a $5000 donation to our school! Thank you HEB, your support of our school community is appreciated.
I Dismiss Car Tags or #'s are REQUIRED
The number of cars coming without a car tag or # displayed is increasing. Please note interruptions in our system cause our dismissal process to take longer for everyone. Please be understanding if you are asked to circle to the front of the school to wait for your student if you do not have a # displayed.
All families picking up students for car dismissal are required to have their student (family) unique # car tag. If your family needs a 2nd tag, you can email your child's teacher to request one or come into the front office and request one. Cars arriving without a car tag number displayed will be asked to leave the line and park to get their child from the front office.
Once your child's # is input into our APP, teachers and students see the student(s) name displayed in the cafeteria and know to get your child to a specific cone. Without the unique # we have gaps in our system which in turn makes this process take longer for all parents, teachers and students. Please help us by always having your # clearly displayed.
Student IDs
Student IDs are required to be worn by all students and staff per district policy. All students who ride a bus to and from school are also required to have a student ID. If your student does not have their student ID for the bus, they will not be permitted to ride home, this policy is in place district wide. If your student has lost their school or dedicated bus ID, there is a $5 replacement cost. The link for ID replacement is on the district webstore/ Revtrak for Buda Elementary: BES ID Revtrak.

Volunteers in Public School
Click the pic above to get registered today to be a BES VIP. We need volunteers to asssit teachers, help in the library, help with picture days, help with events etc. and it is required to be VIP registered to chaperone field trips. Follow the steps below to get registered and get your VIP badge.
1. Register VIP, click the pic above to be directed to the Hays CISD VIP registration page.
2 Once you are approved send a headshot photo with a solid colored background to 1 of the emails listed below. Be sure to give us your full name.

3. We will upload your photo, print your badge and let you know when you can come in to pick up your badge. You will need to present a valid ID to pick up the badge.
4. You are ready to volunteer! The VIP badge must be worn while you are volunteering on campus or on field trips. You must also scan in and out at the VIP kiosk in the front office. You will be required to renew each year to have an active VIP account and a new badge is printed each year.
