UIL 4A State Marching Band Contest

Our prelims performance at the UIL 4A State Marching Competition is at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13th at the Alamodome. The top 10 out of 27 bands will advance to finals that evening. Chaperones and load crew have already been selected for the performance. Transportation will be provided for load crew to and from the Alamodome.

We are so excited to attend the state matching band competition for the second consecutive year. We are so proud of our community, and we cannot wait to represent Comal ISD and Davenport HS at the state level again. It has been a team effort, and the support this season has been nothing short of overwhelming from parents, community members, and our school district.

Additional Spectator Parking Info

A limited amount of spectator parking will be available adjacent to the Alamodome in LOT B. Once these lots are full spectators must find parking elsewhere. There are numerous public parking lots west of I-37 in the vicinity of the Convention Center. These lots will open each morning approximately 2 hours prior to the start of the contest. See the map below. Parking rates are set by the City of San Antonio. The spectator parking rate is $15.00 and is subject to change. There are no in and out privileges. There is no onsite parking available for spectator buses.

Veteran's Day Program

The Davenport High School Veteran's Day program is this Friday at 10 am. Only our Wind Ensemble and Battery will be performing due to limited space on stage in the auditorium. We’re honored to be able to offer this performance to the Veterans in our community who have bravely served our country. Attire for the performance is band polos and jeans.

Alternates/Shadows Update

B Shadows are excused from all remaining marching band practices. They will still attend all marching competitions and playoff football games. We are working on a way to get all B shadows on the field for our final contest performances.
