WORLD LANGUAGE SHOWCASE WORLD LANGUAGE SHOWCASE

Welcome German Students!

From May 6th through the 16th, the World Language department welcomed 16 German teens on an exchange visit to our school. The German students come from our partner school, the Leibniz Gymnasium in Neustadt-adW, Germany. During the exchange, German students shadowed their Warren Central host student in classes. Other activities included a field trip to Conner Prairie to learn about Indiana history, a trip to Kings Island, and an American-style cookout. The German students were featured on WCTV Live and worked with upper level German students on peer interviews in German. It was a joy to see friendships form between the German and American students.

We hope to offer a trip for Warren Central students to travel to Germany and visit the Leibniz Gymnasium with a host family stay in June 2020. In the spring of 2021, we will again host German students and are always looking for families willing to host. Please contact Mrs. Melinda Bowman (mbowman2@warren.k12.in.us) for more information about both opportunities.
