Buenas tardes familias de James John,
No olvide que este lunes 23 de septiembre de 2024 será nuestra Fiesta de Entrega de Estudiantes, ubicada junto al jardín de nuestra escuela cerca de Kellogg y John St. Esta reunión/celebración es para crear conciencia entre los padres para que utilicen nuestro James John Driveway como una opción. al momento de dejarlo. Como usted sabe, el tiempo para dejar a los estudiantes en frente de la escuela puede volverse congestionado y frustrante y no queremos que ocurra un accidente. Por eso, animamos a las familias a utilizar nuestro James John Driveway.
Gracias a todas las familias que asistieron a nuestra Noche de Regreso a Clases. Fue todo un éxito y vimos muchas caras sonrientes e incluso brindó una excelente manera de conocer a otros miembros de la familia, en particular a los futuros James John Leones.
Vamos a tener una semana de cierta interrupción y quiero asegurarme de que las familias estén preparadas.
Martes: tendremos nuestro primer simulacro de encierro. A continuación se muestra lo que su hijo experimentará durante nuestro simulacro de encierro.
Cerraduras, luces, fuera de la vista
El bloqueo se activa cuando hay una amenaza dentro del edificio de la escuela. Crea una barrera del tiempo.
Estudiantes:
Aléjese inmediatamente de la amenaza.
Llegar a un área segura-aula o lejos de la escuela
Mantente fuera de la vista

Este simulacro puede ser un evento aterrador para los estudiantes; recuérdales que es un simulacro que practicamos por seguridad y para aprender qué hacer en caso de una emergencia.
Miércoles: tenemos salida temprana, lo que significa que las clases terminarán a las 11:50 am. Los estudiantes recibirán almuerzo ese día y los autobuses estarán en sus rutas regulares por la mañana y 3 horas antes por la tarde. Durante los días de salida temprana, gran parte de nuestro personal no estará en el edificio y no podemos brindar cuidado infantil después de la escuela después de las 11:50. Por favor planifique en consecuencia.
El Estudiante del Mes será el viernes y el tema de este mes ha sido comunidad y aprecio y nuestro tema de octubre será organización.
También quiero agradecer a los padres que han estado ayudando con la Patrulla de Seguridad en la mañana y por la tarde y también agradecer a los nuevos padres que se han unido a nuestro Equipo de Voluntarios James John. Todos ustedes son muy apreciados y su organización y dedicación a nuestra comunidad no pasan desapercibidas. Gracias.

Good afternoon James John Families,
Don’t forget coming this Monday, September 23rd, 2024 is our Student Drop-off Fiesta, located by our school garden near Kellogg and John St. This gathering/celebration is to raise awareness for parents to use our James John Driveway as an option at drop-off. As you are aware, drop-off time in the front of the school can become congested and frustrating and we do not want an accident to occur. So we are encouraging families to use our James John Driveway.
Thank you to all the families that attended our Back to School Night. It was quite a success and we saw so many smiling faces and it even provided a great way to meet extended family members as well, particularly future James John Lions.
We are going to have a week of some disruption and I want to make sure families are prepared.
Tuesday - we will be having our first Lockdown Drill. Below is what your child will experience during our Lockdown Drill.
Locks, Lights, Out of Sight
Lockdown is activated when there is a threat inside the school building. Creates a time barrier.
Students:
Teachers:
Immediately bring students into the classroom or safe location if able.
Lock the classroom door and barricade.
Cover interior windows, lights out
Move away from sight
Maintain silence
Wait for First Responders to open the door
Take attendance, account for students
Think of your options and maintain situational awareness
This drill can be a scary event for students, please remind them it is a drill that we practice for safety and to learn what to do in case of an emergency.
Wednesday - we have early release, meaning school will be done by 11:50 am. Students will receive lunch that day and buses will be on their regular routes in the morning and 3 hours earlier in the afternoon. During early release days many of our staff will not be in the building and we can not provide after school child care after 11:50. Please plan accordingly.
Student of the Month will be on Friday and this month’s theme has been community and appreciation and our October theme will be, organization.
I want to also thank parents who have been helping with Safety Patrol in the morning and afternoon. Also a thank you to new parents that have joined our James John Volunteer Crew. You all are greatly appreciated and your organization and dedication to our community does not go unnoticed. Thank you.
