Transportation 2024-25:

Please click on the link below to register for bus transportation for the 24-25 school year. They ask that you complete a bus rider intent form to help create efficient bus routes. Our transportation department is working with an outside vendor to create all new bus routes for the 24-25 school year that optimize efficiency and limit the amount of time children are on the busses. All students eligible to ride a GJPS school bus to a GJPS school or GJPS school program are asked to register for transportation by midnight on March 26, 2024.

March Madness at Blacklick! March Madness at Blacklick!

zoom_out_map
The PBIS team has decided to extend March Madness another week up until spring break! Students can receive links for showing Blacklick PRIDE, we are calling this initiative March Madness. Students that receive links take them back to their classroom to add to their homeroom collection. The homeroom (per grade level) with the largest numbers of links at the end of each week gets to vote on a reward. Also, the class that collects the MOST links over the duration of March Madness will receive the prizes in the front vestibule case.

We have passed out 3,911 links so far! Please tell your child to keep up the great work and continue working hard to show Blacklick PRIDE!

Library Update in Grade 4

Fourth graders are working on separating fact from fiction. We have been discussing why there is so much disinformation in the world and why people create it. We tried a game of Telephone to see how bad info can spread. We’ll continue working on how to evaluate information to determine if it’s real or not

4th graders are hard at work on “Recorder Karate”! Each song they master individually earns them a new “belt” color… students are working towards a “black belt” to earn an after school pizza party with Mrs. Wolfe! Please encourage your child to practice at home and have fun learning new songs!

BES Staff Favorite Things

The Blacklick PRIDE Partner PTO has complied a list of the staff's favorite things. It is important to understand the teachers are not asking for gifts. We know that many parents might want to get their child's teacher a gift and this list is to help you select something the teacher would like. Please do not feel obligated to buy a gift for your child's teachers/staff members. A thoughtful note from you and/or your child at any time of the year is appreciated just as much or more as any gift.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Karen Davidson, PTO President, at ptoblacklick@gmail.com.
