Hello Hosmer Artists and Musicians!
Thank you for welcoming us to your on-line classroom meetings this week. We have enjoyed saying hello, participating in various activities, and spending time with you. We miss you and appreciate how we are still able to come together while school is closed. If you haven't see during your meetings us yet, we hope to join you soon!
We have enjoyed hearing from students who are making music and art at home. Please feel free to share that with us via email. Art and music can help us feel better and connect with each other during this time.
Be well, take care of yourselves, and hope to see you again soon!

FOUND OBJECT ART
Found Object Rainbow (PK - 1):
- Watch the They Might Be Giants: ROYGBIV video.
- Review the order of the rainbow - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
- Create your own rainbow using found objects and materials that you find in your house.
- Feel free to share a photo of your rainbow!
- Don't forget to put all the objects back where you found them!
Found Object Color Wheel (Grades 2 - 5):
- Watch Joe's Color Wheel or The Color Wheel videos to review the color wheel.
- Find different color objects in your house to create a color wheel. This is a fun challenge to see how many different objects in different hues you can find in your home.
- Arrange your objects in a circle, take a picture and share!
- Don't forget to put all the objects back where you found them!
Extension: Create a monochromatic found object arrangement, using objects that are all in the same color family. Or create warm and cool color arrangements.
Found Object Plate Portraits (PK - 5):
- Select a plate (or something circular) and found objects from around your house.
- Move the objects around to create a face. Explore different facial expressions that show different moods and feelings.
- Take a picture and share!
- Don't forget to put all the objects back where you found them!
Extension: Create a face that shows an expression or mood and have a family member guess what it is! Take turns creating and guessing the different expressions or feelings.
Found Object Nature Art, Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy (PK - 5)
