Butler School Calendar- October

Happy School Year 27!!

Greetings Butler Families,

It was a great week at Butler Elementary. We were excited to see so many men attend our All Pro Dads meeting. Remember these meetings are once a month at the Cloverdale Community Center before school. Beta Club inductions were held this week. Congratulations to those students who were honored. Thank you to everyone who came out to Hispanic Heritage Night. We hope that you enjoyed the performances and were able to learn about resources available in the community. In case you missed it, Report Cards were issued on Friday, the 16th via the PowerSchool portal.

Don’t forget that Trunk or Treat will be this Friday from 6:00-7:30. Jeremiah’s Ice will also be here selling yummy treats. We are still looking for candy donations. Candy can be dropped off until Thursday.

There is still time to order spirit shirts on SchoolCash online. Log in to your account to find the link. Orders will close on October 30th. Remember that spirit shirts can be worn as a uniform top any time.

26-27 School Year Supply List

Uniform Policy for Butler Elementary

Butler Elementary Uniforms

With the understanding that student behavior is influenced by the way students are dressed and that no student should dress in a manner that is disruptive or has an adverse effect on school activities, the following mandatory uniform standards have been developed. Students are expected to dress in the school uniform during the school day, on field trips, and during school-related activities.

Please make note below:

  • Students may wear any Butler Bear spirit shirt with uniform bottoms (as an alternative uniform shirt) daily. Spirits shirts will be sold throughout the year.
  • Students may wear black uniform pants or skirts as a part of the uniform.
  • School-sponsored hoodies will be permitted to wear.

Non-Uniform Days:

  • Butler will now hold two dress down days per month. SCCPSS is promoting a cashless system. To comply, Butler will offer an opportunity for parents to make a one time payment of $10.50 for all scheduled dress down days during the year using school cash. 26-27 SCCPSS Calendar

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Safety is our top priority. We need all families to work with staff members to ensure the safety of our students and staff is maintained. Our instructional day begins at 9:15 am. Students arriving at 9:15 am or later will be marked tardy and parents must walk them to the front door to sign them into school. Tardies will officially begin on Monday, August 10th.

Please be patient during carpool! The first week or two, the carpool line moves slowly until the students learn the new routine.

Please use the link below to review the Arrival and Dismissal procedures.

Parents will be allowed to walk students to their classrooms on August 3rd- August 5th. Please note that all visitors and students will be screened when entering the building. Please bear with us during this process in order to accommodate the potentially high volume of traffic during the first few days of school.

Additional information to make note includes:

When visiting the school at any point, all guest will be screened. Please be sure to bring your ids and to leave lighters, vapes, pocket knives, etc. outside.
