Special Education Realities

This two-day learning experience is built for staff who support students with disabilities, including Intervention Specialists, Paraeducators, Related Service Providers and allied General Educators who are in the beginning of their career (new-3ish years) and want to learn or refresh skills necessary for this worthy, complex work! Sessions will cover compliance and best practice, mindset, behavior, IEP writing, teaming, communication and data collection.

Where: Athens-Meigs ESC, 21 Birge Drive, Chauncey, OH

When: Thursday September 18 and Tuesday October 7, 2025

9am-2pm daily with a 45 minute break for lunch

Held intentionally after the school year starts to allow participants to attend with their current situation in mind in hopes that new learning will impact classroom design and practices in the year ahead.
