Springtime in the school system is often synonymous with the term "testing season!"

Beginning in May, students will complete a series of MCAP tests (Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program).

We want all students to be prepared to ACE their MCAP Tests.

Attendance leading up to these test is vitally important as teachers are preparing final instruction on key content standards, reviewing material from earlier in the year, and designing individual/ small group support to target individual student gaps.

At the end of March, our cumulative attendance rate was 93.37%.

Our goal is to end the year at over 95%!

8th Grade Formal

• When: Saturday, May 30
• Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
• Dress: Semi-Formal
• Eligibility Criteria: No referrals from Thursday, April 16 until Friday, May 29

Hershey Park Field Trip

• When: Monday, June 1
• Time: Depart BMS at 9:00 a.m., Return at approximately 9:00 p.m.
• Eligibility and Permission Forms: Students need to see their Social Studies teacher

8th Grade Celebration

• When: Monday, June 8
• Time: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
• Eligibility: PBIS Criteria from May 1 to June 8 - No more than 1 referral, No more than 3 total infractions, No ISS, ISI, OSS

The celebration is a closed event during the school day for students and staff only. Please see information below about how to contribute to the celebration.

The PTO is seeking contributions to the 8th Grade Celebration to make the event exciting and meaningful as the student's complete their middle school career.

Please use the link below to sign up to provide items. All donations need to be delivered to the school by Friday, June 5th.

8th Grade t-shirts are now on sale for $12. Students were provided the form linked below. Forms and payment are due on Monday, May 4th to Social Studies teachers.
