Introduction

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Morton West registration for the 2026-2027 school year is open as of Tuesday, April 7th, 2026! We are excited to welcome your student back, and hope this document serves as a great reference for you. Our priority is for the registration process to be efficient for your family. Here are a few tips to simplify this process for all involved.

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year can be completed in its entirety online through Skyward Family Access! This eliminates having to come to in-person registration events or schedule appointments and risk waiting in long lines. Don't have a home computer? Current Morton students have a school-issued computer that would work!
The earlier you can complete the registration process, the better. Summer months are very busy for the Morton West Operations Office, don't wait until last minute!
Begin organizing necessary residency documents now. Families will be notified through mailings if you are required to submit proofs of residency. Mailings for upperclassmen families should arrive to your residency by Monday, April 13th.

For incoming Freshmen families- If you are planning to attend in-person registration, please bring paper copies of your proofs of residency. We are unable to accept proofs of residency through email, and we are unable to print documents while registration is taking place. If you would rather submit your documents online, please take advantage of completing registration online through Skyward Family Access!

Incoming Freshmen (9th Grade)

In accordance with Illinois State Law, all incoming Freshmen (9th Grade) students are required to submit a State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Exam Form, Proof of Immunization, and Dental Examination in order to complete registration. Sport/Athletic Physicals are not a substitute for an entry to school examination. Failure to present required medical documentation risks your student being medically excluded from school.

Seniors (12th Grade)

In accordance with Illinois State Law, all students aged 16 or older must provide proof of vaccination for both doses of Meningococcal Conjugate-MCV 4 in order to complete registration. Failure to present required medical documentation risks your student being medically excluded from school.

In order to be prepared for these requirements, Morton West High School urges parents and guardians to schedule the appropriate medical appointments for their child now so that all immunizations and examinations are provided prior to the beginning of the school year.
