Can you believe we only have two months left in the school year? Pretty soon, your little ones will be Kindergarteners! It has been such a joy watching them grow, learn, and gain confidence each day.

We’re excited to announce that MREC will be hosting a fun Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 10th! Please send in 12 eggs with your students. Just a friendly reminder that the eggs should be prefilled with NON-FOOD items. If you’re looking for ideas, we’ve included some suggestions for non-food goodies.

Students will have a great time participating in their class egg hunt during the school day. Please note that this is a closed campus event, so parents won’t be able to attend.

We're so excited to celebrate the end of the school year with our ABC countdown! Your child has put in so much effort learning their letters and sounds, and we can’t wait to see them show off all their hard work. We've planned some fun days to commemorate this year's achievements. Let’s make some wonderful memories together!

Parents and guardians of students entering Kindergarten this fall are encouraged to "Save the Date" for Kindergarten Round-Up on Thursday, April 17, 2025. This is a come-and-go event and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Home Office, located at 1904 Cooper Street. Kindergarten Round-Up is an opportunity for parents to finalize enrollment, meet the school principal, learn about special programs, and meet with representatives from Transportation Services, Child Nutrition, Health Services, PTO, and more. Calling all Melissa Cardinal fans! The Melissa Cardinals Fanwear shop is now open, featuring Lululemon-branded spirit wear! All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the MISD Athletics Department. Shop now until April 10 to support Melissa High School Athletics and show off your Cardinal Pride in style!

Registration is open for the 21st Annual Melissa Open Golf Tournament is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Top Golf in Allen, Texas. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and feature a new, more accessible format designed to accommodate participants of all skill levels. This annual event is a blend of fun and purpose, with proceeds benefiting Melissa Middle School and High School students. Registration is available at www.melissa booster club.org. Individuals must be 18 years or older to participate (students may not participate). Come take part in this exciting tradition benefiting a good cause!
