Breakfast Ends at 7:35 AM

Beginning this week, students must be inside the cafeteria by 7:35 AM to eat breakfast.

We have too many students arriving late for breakfast, which keeps the cafeteria full when class begins at 7:45 AM. This is causing students to be late to class.

If your child eats breakfast at school, please arrive a little earlier so they have enough time to eat and get to class on time.

Thank you for helping our Dragons start their day ready to learn!

After-Hours Campus Safety

For the safety of our students and our school, no one should enter the secured Dyer Kelly campus after it has closed for the day. This includes climbing or jumping over gates. There is no staff supervision after hours.

If you see someone entering the secured campus after hours, please call the non-emergency number at 916-874-5115.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and campus safe.

Principal's Message

Dear Dyer Kelly Families,

First, I want to thank you for your support and for everything you do to help our Dragons be successful at school.

Let's Get Through the October Slump!

Around this time of year, schools sometimes experience what we call the October Slump. The excitement of the new school year starts to wear off, students get tired, and we begin to see more behavior challenges.

We are seeing some of this at Dyer Kelly, and we are working with our Dragons to make good choices, listen to adults, and treat others with respect.

Families, we could use your help! Please take a few minutes to talk with your child about listening to their teachers and other adults at school, following directions, and being kind to others.

We know our Dragons can do it, and when we work together, we can help them get back on track!

FREE Dental Screening — Tuesday, October 27

Early Smiles Sacramento will be at Dyer Kelly on Tuesday, October 27, to provide FREE dental screenings.

Families with students in grades 1–5: Please complete the online consent form if you would like your child to participate.

TK and Kindergarten families: Your child will automatically receive a dental screening unless you tell us NO in writing. Please see the separate announcement above for more information.

Thank you again, families, for working with us and supporting our Dragons. We appreciate you!

Strength in Numbers!
