As we wrap up another wonderful school year, May is a time to celebrate growth, reflect on accomplishments, and prepare for a fun and safe summer! I am so proud of all our students and the progress they’ve made—academically, socially, and emotionally.

It has been a joy working with your children this year! Thank you for your support in helping them grow into confident, kind, and capable students. I wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and fun summer break!

Our students have worked so hard this year! May is full of exciting events, awards, and celebrations. Encourage your child to:

• Keep trying their best each day
• Show kindness and respect to others
• Follow school expectations through the last day

Summer school for Oak Ridge Elementary will be held at Lamar Elementary (PK- 2nd) and Ford Elementary (3rd & 4th)

Summer is a great time to relax and recharge, but routines still matter! Here are a few tips:

• 📚 Keep Reading: Visit the library and read daily
• 🕒 Maintain Routines: Set consistent bedtimes and screen limits
• 🤝 Stay Connected: Encourage playdates and family time
• 🧠 Practice Skills: Writing, math games, or journaling

Big transitions (like the end of school) can bring big feelings. Help your child by:

• Talking openly about feelings
• Keeping a predictable routine
• Reassuring them about next school year
• Reaching out if you need support
