Pirate Post- 5/10/2026

As we enter the final weeks of this school year, I’ve found myself in an emotional place. For the first time in several years, I’m not planning for the beginning of next year here at East Minico, and suddenly the reality of that is starting to sink in. Knowing there are only a few weeks left to work alongside the incredible individuals at East is hard. I had a moment today watching students and teachers enjoying each other's company, where I wondered how I could possibly say goodbye. How can I adequately thank you for the positive impact you have had on my life? Reflecting on all those intricate conversations I've had with parents, staff, community members and throughout the district makes me both humbled and proud of the ship that I was able to lead. As I walk through the halls, I am blessed with so many "hello Mr. Heath's" and fist bumps. Furthermore, the parents have been both crucial and positive on the great things that we have done. I love this place! I love the community! I love our parents and I am eternally grateful for such a great student body that I am able to learn along side with on a daily basis!

Just know that I’m fully committed to making sure we finish this year strong and as smoothly as possible. Thank you to everyone who contributed to Teacher Appreciation Week. Our staff are so appreciative and we are grateful for people within the community who took the time to shower our staff with kindness!
