Dear families,
It was amazing to see so many of you at Open House and Singalong last week! Our community is awesome, thanks for being part of it!

🌱 Annual Harvest Festival
Thursday, September 24 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Our school garden is growing! This fall, students will harvest carrots, potatoes, kale, and onions. Come take a look—and, most importantly, come let us feed you dinner from our garden! You won’t want to miss it.
After-School Care
We’re also excited to welcome Gastineau Sparks After School Program to our school. The program will begin Monday, September 14. Keep reading for information about the program and how to register your child. Questions? Call 95-SPARK!
Donations Needed!
Our Health Office needs sweatpants and leggings (sizes 6, 8, 10, 12). If you have gently used items, please consider donating them!

AROUND SCHOOL
SGCS is Title I school; to learn more about what that means for your child(ren), click here! We also have a School Compact, Family Engagement Plan, and Handbook. To access those documents, go to this folder. Please review and let us know if you have any questions!
Remember Your Rain Gear!
Whether we like it or not, with September comes rain! Our K-6th grade students go outside every day for a minimum of 45 minutes, so please make sure your child dresses for the weather. If your kids are like mine, they will tell you they don't want to wear a coat...send them with one anyway!
