Principal's Message:
Happy Friday Hilton Families!
Happy New Year!
Welcome back, Hilton Elementary families! It has been wonderful to see our students return after winter break, and we’ve had a great first week back with students quickly settling into their routines and reconnecting with classmates and staff. We’re looking forward to a positive and productive start to the new year together.
Device Policies at Hilton:
As we return from winter break with many new gifts and gadgets, I’d like to take a moment to remind families of our district expectations regarding student use of cell phones, smart watches, and other personal electronic devices during the school day. Our recommendation is that these items are left at home unless they are truly necessary.
To ensure a focused and safe learning environment, our district student handbook states:
“Valuable equipment such as iPads, cell phones, computer games, calculators, personal communication devices, etc. are not permitted unless there is a special occasion, and prior permission of the teacher and the parent is granted. Students who bring any of these devices recognize that they incur a risk of such equipment being lost or stolen. All devices must be turned off during regular school hours unless given authorization by an administrator or teacher. Any violation of the rules, expectations or considerations set by the building administration could result in its revocation for the balance of the school year.”
If a device is brought to school, it must remain turned off during school hours unless explicit authorization has been given by a teacher or administrator. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your child and thank you for your continued partnership in helping us maintain a positive, focused learning environment at Hilton Elementary School. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Neighborhood Reminders:
As a reminder, while the district has instated that we have no left turn out of the Hilton Elementary School parking lot during drop off and pick up times to alleviate more back ups, we do ask that you try not to cut through the neighboring subdivisions on your way out. We are getting reports of people speeding through these areas after leaving our parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation in this.
Thank you for your continued support, and have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Erin Belanger
Hilton Elementary Principal

Message From Dr. Outlaw:
News From Our District Nurse
Parents, it is that time of year again where it is important to be checking your students head for head lice. While they are not harmful they most certainly are a nuisance and can be difficult to get rid of. Please notify your school if your child has a case of head lice so we can take measures to hopefully stop them from spreading. Should you need any more information here is a link for your reference:https://www.cdc.gov/lice/about/head-lice.html
We sincerely appreciate your help and understanding in this matter!
STEAM Lab Needs Creation Station Supplies!
We are looking for items that students can repurpose for creative projects, such as:
Clean containers and lids
Flattened cereal or cracker boxes
Paper towel or toilet paper tubes
Buttons and craft supplies
Any other materials you no longer need that can be reused in projects
Items can be dropped off at the front office, or your child can bring them directly to Mrs. Lewicki.
Thank you so much for helping us keep the Creation Station stocked and inspiring student creativity!

Contact: (810) 299-4130This Valentine’s Day… Whether you’re a fan of Broadway, classical, or even rock, this program of Andrew Lloyd Webber showstoppers and more has something for everyone. Terry Barber and Shelley Keelor breathe new life into hits from many of Broadway's most beloved shows, reacquainting you with characters from CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Aspects of Love, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables, Chicago, Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera, and more!
Literally "setting the stage" for this production is a replica backdrop of the Paris Opera House (Palais Garnier) where the real Phantom of the Opera haunted over 100 years ago causing a chandelier to crash into the audience killing a woman and injuring several others. We will not be recreating that piece of history for you! Don't miss this epic performance or you may be haunted by your disappointment!
BCPA Tech Club Fundraiser
Doors to the lobby open at 6:30pm for this show. Come support concession sales that will serve as a fundraiser that supports training and scholarship opportunities for the BCPA's student theater Tech Club.
Behind every great show at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts is a team making the magic happen! The BCPA Student Tech Club is where students learn the ins and outs of stagecraft, from mastering the light board and perfectly balancing sound to managing backstage cues.
