News, Updates & Reminders:

* Elf Help Wanted: Emma Miller School is hiring elves to help in Santa's Workshop. If you are between the ages of 1 to 92 years-old, love children & Christmas, and can wrap faster than a child unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning, then we need you! Please follow the Sign-Up Genius link below if you're available. P.S. This position pays in smiles and Christmas cheer! 😊

* As mentioned above, Santa's Workshop will take place on Tuesday. Students will have the opportunity to shop for their family. An order form was sent home last week, and a copy is attached below. All items are $1.00 and each student can purchase up to six items. We highly recommend placing your child's order form and money in an envelope with their name on it.

* Emma Miller School is hiring for a 1:1 teacher aide. If you or someone you know is interested, please follow the link below or submit a cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation to apply. You may submit application materials to my email at ttierney@savoyelementary.com or through the mail at 26 Chapel Rd. Savoy, MA. 01256. Thank you.

* In case you missed it. Parent/Teacher conferences will be rescheduled to Thursday, Jan. 9th. This day will change from a full day to a half day of school to accommodate for conferences. We will keep your scheduled time as it was planned. If you need to change the time or would like to schedule to a different day, please reach out to your child's teacher directly and they'd be happy to accommodate as best that they can.

* Aftercare payments are due today. Thank you.

Planning Ahead:

* We will have a half day of school on Thursday, Dec. 9th for parent/teacher conferences. We will also begin our Friday, half day schedule through the months of January and February when we return from the holiday break.

PTG Updates:

* The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 7th at 5:00pm. It will be a virtual meeting.

Health & Safety:

* The yucky stomach bug is making its way around. 🤢 If your student experiences vomiting or diarrhea, please keep them home until they are symptom free for at least 24 hours from the onset of these symptoms. This virus spreads easily and quickly, so we appreciate everyone's support in following these guidelines. We are also including an update to the NBSU health & respiratory guidance below.

* A friendly reminder to please call the office or email your child's teacher if they will be picked up by someone different than usual. Thank you.
