Check Out What's Happening with the Hewes PTA

A Message from the Principal

Dear Highlander Families:

On Wednesday of this week, our counseling team facilitate career exploration through your student's PE class. During PE, students visited various booths in the Activity Center about career options through one of our partners, VitaLink, who brought hands-on activities and demonstrations for students to experience. Students also learned about Regional Occupational Program (ROP) classes they can take in High School, and Foothill CTE students shared their experiences in various pathway programs. Students were able to gain exposure to options and opportunities for post-secondary success. Check out our Instagram for photos from the event.

We are collecting items for Operation Warm Wishes and CHiPs for Kids. Please see the flyers in this newsletter with specific donation requests for Toys and Socks. As you plan for activities in December, please save Wednesday, December 13th for our annual Holiday Bazaar and Concert. From 5:30-6:30 our elective classes will sell handmade items from culinary, woodshop, art, and many more, and at 7:00 we will hold our holiday choir and band concert. Please join us for a fun-filled evening and a wonderful community event.

HIGHLANDER for a Day!

The Hewes staff is recognizing HIGHLANDERS “H” FOR A DAY AWARD! Highlander for a Day is a program at Hewes Middle School that celebrates students for incredible moments in the areas of Respect, Responsibility, and Results.
