Drop Off Safety Reminder!

We are seeing an increase in students being dropped off before school. Please make sure students remain in your car or you are with them until school staff is outside ready to welcome students.

If you would like to talk to your child's teacher, counselor, the principal, please either call or email the person to set up a time. We value your time and want you to have our full attention.

Please understand that there are many things that we do during the school day and may not be able to meet with you without an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Monthly Focus

This Friday is our last week to wear Orange for Accountability and Responsibility.

Beginning next Friday, November 7, we will wear red for Respect and Empathy!

Focusing on Habits of Character each month is one way we implement our MCAS Strategic Plan Strategy of Educating the Whole Child.

End of the Month

We are closing out the month of October this week! Report cards are now available to be viewed in PowerSchool. If you have any troubles logging in, please reach out to the Springfield Office.

Students are encouraged to wear orange or a Halloween shirt this Friday! Our kindergartners will do a Costume Parade on Friday afternoon. Kindergartners only may bring costumes to change into for the parade. No other grades are wearing costumes at school.

Trick or Treat Night - Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who attended and donated to our Trick or Treat Night! I hope you had as much fun as I did seeing all the great costumes and playing the games!

Volunteer Procedures

All volunteers must be screened prior to helping in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, or other activities. In order to be approved, you must have your license scanned in the office first and then turn in a volunteer form. Approval can take a few weeks so please turn in your volunteer form in early! Once approved, you are approved for 3 years.

Looking ahead: Tuesday, Nov. 4 is an EARLY RELEASE DAY! All students will be dismissed at 12:00 and there will be NO Boys and Girls Club on this day.

Safety Reminders

We are committed to ensuring our students are safe at school. With this in mind, please remember the following:

Please enter and exit through the front door only.
Please push the button at give your name and purpose of visit when asked.
Once entering the building, please go immediately to the office.

Absences & Dismissal Plans

If your child is going to be absent, please call the office by 9:00 AM. If you do not reach someone, please leave a message.

Please remember to call by 1:30 if you have a change in dismissal plans - i.e. riding the bus instead of being picked up. After 1:30, we cannot guarantee that the student and teacher will be able to get the information.
