May is in full effect! Remind your students about making sure they are making great choices here at the end of the year!

I also want to remind parents of Field Trip/Lunch visitor expectations! Please remember to only have positive encounters with students on field trips/at lunch. All confrontations/discipline should come from teachers, not parents. I appreciate your help with this!

Please plan to do something for your child's teacher next week to show them how much you appreciate them. It doesn't have to cost you money. It can be a drawn picture, colored picture, or a note. Thank you!

Also- thank you for your help with the family survey! We appreciate your input!

Reminder of a few guidelines for parent lunches:

Parent Lunches ARE BACK! YAY! Please remember the guidelines below!

- student may only have a visitor once a week

- the visitor must be on the child's emergency contact list

- ONLY the visitor and the child may sit together at lunch at the designated tables. The ONLY exception is if there are siblings in the same grade.

- visitors are NOT to address any other students while attending lunch

- food that is brought to the cafeteria can only be for the visitor and the student they are eating with.

These guidelines are subject to change at any time.

Parents:

It is essential for you to pick your child(ren) up on time. We understand that there are times that things happen but picking up beyond 4:00 is not acceptable. Our staff has meetings as well as other family obligations to attend following the work day. When you are late, it holds everyone up from doing what they need to do. Please be mindful of this.

Dismissal will begin at 3:30 for the duration of the school year! Thank you for being patient as students learn the routines and procedures! Our goal everyday is a 3:45 end time for dismissal!

Please make sure that you are staying in your car and going through the car rider pickup. We need to keep the front clear for special situations, buses and daycare. Please review the following guidelines:

1) student transportation changes are accepted up to 2:00. If you have changes, the office AND teacher must be notified.
2) you MUST have your ID to pick up any child. Even if you have been to the school before. You will be required to have an ID to pick up a child from the office.
3) you MUST have a car tag to go through the car line. If you do not, you will proceed to the front office and get a new card. You will be required to wait until 3:50/3:55 when dismissal has ended to get your child.
4) no students will be called to the office during dismissal. You will have to wait for late pickup.
5). no students will be dismissed after 3:00 PM. If you are not at the school before 3 PM, you will be required to proceed through the dismissal line.

6) Please stay in your dismissal "Color" line (orange or green). Even if a child is absent, you stay in the same color lane.

Class Dojo is essential. It is the one-stop-shop to stay current with what is going on in your child's classroom and at Liberty Grove! Please be on the lookout for the invite from your child's teacher. Thanks for all that you do!

• Career Day is coming Friday May 16th! If you would like to volunteer to be a speaker or if you know someone with a career that would like to be a speaker, please email me to let me know or fill out the flier(English/Spanish) and return it to me by Friday May 2nd. We are currently in need of speakers for our Pre-K – 2 classrooms, so if you would like to speak in one of those grades please let me know.
