Tynes Weekly Updates
February 27, 2026
Greetings from Dr. Borgese
New Tigers Welcome + Let’s Start Our Days Strong!
Tiger Families,
Enrollment is now open for the 2026–2027 school year for all incoming TK and Kindergarten students! If you or someone you know has a child ready to begin their journey, we invite you to enroll today at www.pylusd.org/enroll. We’re excited to welcome our newest Tigers and can’t wait to partner with families from the very start.
As a reminder, being on time sets our students up for a strong start each day. All school gates, including the TK and Kindergarten gate, will close promptly at 7:50 AM. Students may arrive as early as 7:20 AM to enjoy breakfast at no cost. Arriving early helps students settle in, connect with peers, and be ready to learn right when the day begins.
Let’s work together to start every day strong—on time and ready to learn! 🐯
Warmly,
Dr. Borgese

Jogathon Fundraiser
Our Jog-a-thon officially kicked off today! Students attended a fun assembly and learned about this year’s prizes and how they can help raise funds for our school!
Goal: $22,000
If we reach it, the whole school earns an extra recess and Dr. Borgese and Mrs. Miller will dress up for the Jog-a-thon !We’re using DoJiggy again this year for easy online donations (cash and checks are welcome, too). Information on setting up your student’s fundraising page is coming home and included below.
There are:
Prizes for fundraising milestones
Awards for the top 3 fundraisers
A NEW grand prize for the overall top fundraiser
Class prizes for top-earning classes
Business Sponsorships – A Major Focus This Year
In addition to donations from family and friends, we’re placing a strong emphasis on growing our business sponsorships. Community sponsors make a huge impact and help us reach our goal faster.
You can help by:
Becoming a sponsor if you own a business
Asking your employer if they support local schools
Connecting us with a local business owner you know
Helping us reach out to businesses in the community
We have multiple sponsorship levels available, and sponsors receive recognition through event signage and school communications.
If you’re willing to help — even by reaching out to just one business — please let us know. Parent connections are incredibly powerful!
🍏 Lunch with a Lucky One 🍏
Please join us for "Lunch with a Lucky One" on Friday, March 13th.
We will host three separate lunches to accommodate parking and parents ability to spend time with each of their children.
Refer to the flier below for lunch times and where to enter. After the TK/Kindergarten lunch, we ask that you please exit the kinder gate and walk to the front gate for the next lunches.
Please stay in the lunch area at all times and not leave to other parts of the campus.
We ask that you do not sign your child out of school after their lunch and allow them to remain in class the rest of the day.
We look forward to a fun "Lunch with a Lucky One"!
