Pop-Up Alphabet in Kindergarten
The Pop-Up Alphabet Museum in Mrs.Kuhlow's Kindergarten classroom was well-attended by both families and Washington staff. Students opened the museum by demonstrating their letter name and letter sound knowledge, followed by sharing the items they collected to represent each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. Interactive alphabet games were placed throughout the classroom to keep everyone engaged during their visit.
Science of Reading Night
Washington families attended the Science of Reading Night on October 16. They learned more about what SOR is all about, saw some lessons in action and then enjoyed a community meal to wrap-up the evening. Thank you to our families who attended and our staff who shared their knowledge of literacy with everyone.
Lady Whippets Visit Washington
