Spring Picture Day
Monday, 3/30
K-5 Spring Picture Day will be held on Monday, March 30. The Kinsner Family Calendar incorrectly shows the original date of Monday, April 13 — that was the date scheduled earlier, but because it fell on the first day back from spring break, the event was moved to the week prior and the calendar wasn’t updated. However, the 5th Graders Panoramic Photo will take place on Monday, April 13th in the afternoon. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your understanding. Paper information will be sent home soon!
Spring Picture Day Opt Outs
Dear Parents:
As you may recall from a prior parent update (see below), we are aware of concerns raised regarding Lifetouch and understand some families still have questions. As previously shared, we will continue to monitor this situation and review information as it becomes available. At this time, we will not be making a change to our photography vendor for the remainder of the current school year. During the spring and summer, I will make a final decision regarding student photography services for the 2026–27 school year.
You are receiving this message because your child’s school participates in spring pictures, which will again be taken by Lifetouch. Please note that spring pictures are optional. Please click HERE if you'd like to opt your child out of spring pictures. The opt outs are due by Friday, March 27th.
Fall photos are what are used for the yearbook, so choosing not to participate in spring pictures will not impact the yearbook.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cameron M. Ryba
Superintendent
Student Photography Vendor Update
Many of you may have seen recent national news coverage regarding the release of the Epstein files and references to the CEO of Apollo Global Management. Apollo is the parent company of Shutterfly, which in turn owns Lifetouch - the photography company we currently contract with for student pictures. While Lifetouch’s day-to-day operations serving schools are separate from the broader corporate ownership structure, we recognize that headlines like these can raise understandable questions and concerns for families. HERE is a message from the Lifetouch CEO addressing the recent reporting. As with any partnership, we will continue to monitor developments, review information carefully, and conduct our due diligence to ensure our vendor relationships align with the values and expectations of our community. Thank you for your continued engagement and for trusting us to navigate matters like this.
