Log vs. Klinger Fall Games
First, a few highlights from this week's games:
Girls Volleyball had a huge win on Wednesday over Bristol while JV Soccer had an incredible comeback victory of 5-3 after being down 3-0.
Log vs. Klinger
Believe it or not, Fall Sports is nearing its conclusion. Each season, Log College faces off against Klinger in a fierce but friendly final game.
Log vs. Klinger games are held at William Tennent High School. On Wednesday, October 30, Field Hockey (5:30) Volleyball (7:00), and Soccer (7:00) all play their respective games. There is no admission fee; however, all student spectators must attend with a parent/guardian.
On Wednesday, November 6, Log Football faces Klinger at WTHS. Again, student spectators must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The cost for students to attend is $5 (This cost is waived for football players, cheerleaders, and their immediate families). A letter will be shared with more information later this week.
7th and 8th grade STEM
In the 7th and 8th grade STEM classes, students have successfully completed the Tool and Shop Safety Module. They designed wooden puzzles, utilizing tools such as tape measures and speed squares to mark their wood blocks. They learned to use a sliding miter saw for cutting, palm sanders for smoothing, and templates for tracing. Additionally, they drilled pilot holes with a drill press, cut out the puzzle shapes with a scroll saw, and finished their projects by cutting one block into three pieces using a bandsaw.
FCS Class
8th graders learned about the five food groups and made crunch wraps this week. This lab offers a nutritionally balanced, easy to make, and delicious meal.
Red Ribbon Week
Picture Retakes
Picture Retakes will be held on November 6. Once again, we'll be asking you to complete the picture form online if your child was absent or will be having his/her picture retaken.

Congratulations Mr. Leiby, who was selected by WTHS's former Log College students to serve as a guest speaker at their induction. And of course, a big congratulations to the students at WTHS for earning this honor!
