All before and after-school activities will be cancelled tomorrow and throughout the weekend.
We will continue to monitor the weather and will provide an update on the status of Monday's schedule by no later than Sunday evening. New Katy ISD Public WiFi
Remember: Starting September 1st, the old public WiFi (KISDWiFi) will no longer be available.
If you haven’t already, you may want to go ahead and reset your personal devices, cell phones, iPads, etc. that are currently using KISDWiFi.
Also, please remind students and parents that they will also need to reset the WiFi on their personal devices that they use within Katy ISD so that they will continue to connect on Sept. 1st.

Counselors Corner
Schedule Change Information:
Students needing to drop AP or PreAP classes to academic must do so before next Tuesday, August 29th, otherwise, the student must remain in the AP/Preap class for the semester. Students failing an AP/Preap class can only exit at the six week grading period.
Other schedule change requests have closed.
GPA Exemptions:
Students who have a GPA of 4.0 or above are encouraged to complete a GPA Exemption form for special programs such as athletics and fine arts. Visit the counselors' office to obtain more information. Applications are due by September 8th.

To improve on student counseling services, starting the 2017-18 school year, counselors will begin a new alpha-split assisting all grades 9 through 12.

Drop Off/Pick Up Information
For those of you who have had a student come through Mayde Creek High School, you know that back to school traffic increases around our area. With that being said, please exercise patience during student drop-off/pick-up times. Please be extremely cautious of your surroundings. There are many students arriving and dismissing each day around Mayde Creek. Student safety is our #1 priority so please be aware of student drivers, walkers, and bike riders around the school at all times.
AM Drop Off Locations:
Main Entrance – Drop Off For AM Traffic Map Click Here
We open our doors as early as 6:45 am. If you are an early bird, please take advantage of this so that our car rider line is shorter. PLEASE pull your car as far forward as possible before you stop to let your child out of the car. Encourage your child to have all items such as: backpacks, lunches, instruments, etc. in their hands ready to quickly exit the vehicle. There will be 2 drop off lanes. Staff members and student volunteers will be out directing traffic and will let you know when you can open your doors. Our drop zone will begin at the 9th grade center. You will likely be dropping off past the main entrance. Our goal is to get students and drivers in and out of our parking lot as efficiently and safely as possible.
PAC entrance off of Dulaney Road – Please drive towards the PAC and drop your students off. Follow the road around the backside of the PAC. You will exit at Ashley Road.
PAC entrance off of Ashley Road – Please drive towards the backside of the PAC and take a right in front of the PAC. A security guard will direct you down the center parking lane for drop off. Continue straight to exit our parking lot to Dulaney Road.

Main Entrance – This will be the only pick up location for car riders at the 2:35 dismissal.
PAC entrance off of Dulaney Road – This road will be closed until busses depart our campus.
PAC entrance off of Ashley Road – This road will be close after morning drop off to allow our busses an area to stage for pick up.
Bus Information
If your child has the luxury of being eligible to ride the bus, you may want to consider taking advantage of this option. We have almost 2800 students this year. Bus transportation is really the most practical way to get your child in the building on time. If you have concerns about the bus, please let us know immediately. We will help you solve them.
Please have your student take of picture of their bus number when they get off the bus the first day. They will be riding the same bus in the afternoon that will help them know what bus to board in the afternoon.
Football Fundraiser
This year, MCHS Football will be conducting fundraising through a company called “Fan cloth”. Fan cloth provides you with official Mayde Creek apparel as well as foldable chairs, and tumblers. This year we are going to make fan cloth 100% online. This allows you to click the link below which will take you to the online catalog where you can select the items that you would like to purchase.
