Evaluations, Don't Get Caught Up!
End of Year Evaluation "Real Talk"
Please know that any deadlines that were not met by your supervisor for BOY, MOY, or EOY conferences is a violation and creates a situation in which you must be held harmless, i.e. you cannot receive an evaluation that negatively impacts you for the year. ASASP represents you both and will be forced as always to go directly by the book when handling such matters. Therefore, I implore you as a supervisor or a supervisee not to jeopardize yourself. If you did not have the conferences within the specified timeframe, don't get yourself in a pickle trying to create something after the fact, don't do it! It is mostly likely that a grievance will be filed and a lot of unnecessary time and attention will be brought to the matter once the supervisee requests support in fighting any violations.
The ASASP Unit II and Unit III Professional Growth System is attached here for your convenience as well. Know your rights and don't let anyone put you in a position that will put you or your career in jeopardy. If you don't know then you need to contact the union office to seek direction preferably before you get into something that may cause you to end up in a louder mill hearing trying to protect your job.
