STUDENTS GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITY FOR BIG HELP DAY
It's a tradition that's all about giving back to the community. Big Help Day is a day dedicated to volunteering in various ways and all over our area. Wearing blue volunteer shirts, EHS students spread out all over town and used their time and talents as a means of service.
One group of students went to Affinity Ranch to help with Spring cleaning. They reset pathways, picked up construction debris, regenerated a play area for children and cleaned up the Serenity Garden and physical therapy huts to help the ranch's clients to better adjust to the environment.
Affinity Ranch serves those with differing abilities, veterans and families through healing with animals and the experiential nature of the ranch. At the ranch, they have 18 horses, three goats, five cats, along with bunnies and chickens. On its website, they describe their animal partners as the heart and soul of the ranch.
Thanks to all of our students who found ways to give back on this special day!

SHOWING APPRECIATION TO ESD BUS DRIVERS
Showing appreciation!
Look at the creative and adorable surprise gift boxes that were handed out to some of our bus drivers. In partnership with Rise and Grind, a local coffee hut, the Parents of SHE Committees (utilizing funds from fundraisers) brought cute little bus boxes with muffins to their beloved bus drivers.
The drivers also received thanks along the way from the community when dropping off the kids on National Bus Driver Appreciation Day last week.
Thank you to all ESD bus drivers for your hard work and dedication in making sure that all of our kids make it to school and back home safely each day!

ESD GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS ATTEND STEM DAY AT COORS FIELD
Take us out to the ball game!
On Wednesday, April 30th, our Gifted and Talented elementary and middle school students had the exciting opportunity to attend STEM Day at Coors Field. Students participated in hands-on STEM activities and experiments before settling in to watch the Colorado Rockies take on the Atlanta Braves. It was an incredible day of learning, exploration and fun - combining real-world science applications with America's favorite pastime.
