Hive Hangouts β Celebrating Positive Choices!
We are excited to celebrate our students' positive behavior with our Hive Hangouts! These special celebrations recognize students who have been demonstrating positive behavior and making great choices here at the Hive.
How the Warning System Works
Throughout the month, students may receive warning sheets if they have difficulty meeting expectations:
- π’ Green sheet β 1st warning: A friendly reminder to get back on track.
- π‘ Yellow sheet β 2nd warning: Time to pause and make a plan for better choices.
- π΄ Pink sheet β 3rd warning: Students practice our school expectations and miss that week's Hive Hangout.
Students who receive a pink sheet will not participate in the celebration. Instead, they will spend that time in our reflection room with Mrs. Johnston (Principal), Mrs. Wenrick (Student Support Coordinator), or Mrs. Pettway (Elementary Dean), where they will have the chance to reflect, reset, and reconnect with our school expectations.
Our goal is always growth β these conversations help students understand their choices and return to the Hive ready to succeed. Each month is a fresh start, giving every student the opportunity to begin anew and shine!
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting positive behavior at school and at home!
Word of the Month: HONESTY!
Halloween Parade β Friday, October 30th at 11:00 a.m.
Our annual Halloween parade is on! Weather permitting, we'll parade outdoors β families are welcome to watch from the perimeter of the playground. No need to check in at the office unless you're entering the building.
If it's raining, we'll move the parade indoors, and unfortunately we won't be able to accommodate spectators in that case.
Please note:
- If weather forces us to cancel the outdoor parade, we'll let families know by Thursday evening via email.
Halloween Costumes β Friday, October 30th
Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Friday, October 30th! A few guidelines to keep our celebration fun and safe for everyone:
- Costumes should be fun, not gory β please save the scary stuff for trick-or-treating!
- No fake weapons of any kind (this includes costume accessories like swords, knives, or blasters).
Thank you for helping us keep the day festive and friendly for all of our Hive students!
