Principal Message
Dear Families,
We are excited to see all of you at Parent-Teacher Conferences next week! I was thrilled to see such a great turnout for conference sign-ups. These conferences are the perfect opportunity to begin regular communication with your child’s teachers and ensure we are all working together to support your child’s success.
In addition, our Scholastic Book Fair will be open next week! Students will have opportunities to shop during the school day, and the fair will also be open to students and families during evening conference times. Please remember that students must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the Book Fair after school hours.
We are also gaining some great momentum with our new Power Hub! As a parent, I find it to be a helpful one-stop location for grades, updates, and more. The Power Hub app for your phone is the same as the PowerSchool app we previously used. If you experience any issues, try deleting and reinstalling the app. When prompted, use the code WMMB to log in.
Coming soon, we will begin posting all of our newsletters directly in My Power Hub. This will make it easier for you to access and look back at previous updates whenever needed.
Next week, we will also be celebrating Red Ribbon Week with a fun-filled School Spirit Week! Each day will have a different theme to help promote healthy choices and school pride. Be sure to check the Parent Hub and our social media pages for the daily events and to see photos of our students showing their school spirit!
At this time, Bus W4 and Bus W9 are unable to accommodate bus passes on Early Release Days. Please make alternate arrangements for your children on these days if they typically ride either of these buses. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure safe and smooth transportation for all students.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to seeing you at conferences and the Book Fair next week!
Warm regards,
Billie-Jo Martin
Principal, Windham Center School

Technology Fees:
Technology Fees
Please check the Fees portion of your student’s PowerSchool account to be sure your Technology fee is paid to date. Each year, Windham School District parent(s)/guardian(s) pay a $15 technology fee. This annual fee helps defray the entire cost of repairs, due to accidents. Labor is provided at no charge as the technician is employed by the school district.
If you still have an outstanding technology fee balance, this must be paid prior to any damage/loss or you will be liable for the full cost. Annual technology fees & any other accrued fees do not disappear. They carry on from year to year, from school to school. Take a look at your student’s account to be sure you are paid in full in case of any unexpected damages.

Book Club–Calling All Readers!
Book Club–Friday mornings & monthly Wednesdays after school
The Jr. Book Beat Club will meet after school Friday mornings during Ready, Set, Go and monthly on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the WCS Library. This book discussion group is open to interested 5th and 6th grade students. Members will select a book together, read it outside of school, and meet together to discuss the book. Please fill out the Book Club registration form for your child to participate, to receive a book, and to read more details. Our first book will be Trouble at the Tangerine, a mystery/friendship story by Gillian McDunn. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 29.
SKI CLUB
Hello WCS Families,
We are pleased to announce that Ski Club will take place again this year! We will be going to Pat’s Peak on Thursday nights in January for five fun-filled nights of skiing and snowboarding (January 8, 15, 22, 29 & Feb. 5). Students of all levels are welcome to sign up, as there are lessons at the mountain.
This year, sign-ups will be emailed out on October 25th at 9:00 AM to allow for early bird pricing and for all families to have an option to sign up. (To receive early pricing, registration must be paid in FULL on or before 11/15/25.) Sign-ups will be first-come, first-served, and can be very competitive. When you go to sign up, you will need the names and numbers of TWO emergency contacts ready to be entered. If your child does not make the cut-off for the club, please email jlemay@windhamsd.org AND scronin@windhamsd.org, as email time stamps will also create the waitlist.
If you are new to Ski Club, here is some overview information:
- Please be advised that participation in this club entails additional expenses, including bus transportation fees and a Pats Peak ski pass. Families may select from a variety of pass types, depending on their preferences and budget.
- All students must pay for their spot on the bus and get their pass from Pat’s Peak.
- Videos of how to purchase tickets and detailed information can be found on the Ski Club Page for students who join the Ski Club.
- Ski Club Swag can be purchased this year!
- This year, you can pay for the Ski Club bus digitally or by check payable to Windham Center School.
- Pat’s Peak passes must be purchased directly through Pat’s Peak. Please see the video and/or PDF directions for 2025/2026 ski club members on the Ski Club page (only available for those who get into the club).
- Students leave WCS at 1:50 and will be responsible for gathering information and work from their missed classes.
- Students will have lessons (if purchased) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and free skiing from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM.
- Students who miss their check-in time (5:00 PM) cannot come the following week.
- Rental gear is available for anyone who needs it and can be purchased with their pass.
- Miss Lemay and Mrs. Cronin will email chaperones to alert them if they can be chaperones for their chosen night. You will then get a pass from Miss Lemay to ski/snowboard for the night.
-Mandatory Parent Meeting: If your child is accepted into the club, at least one parent/guardian must attend a required meeting on December 3rd at 5:30 PM. This meeting will cover all expectations, procedures, and important information for the club.
As always, if you have any questions, please email us at jlemay@windhamsd.org and scronin@windhamsd.org.
Thank you,
Jordan Lemay and Suzanne Cronin
