Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Oh my, it is great to be back...
Good morning!
I hope everyone had a great summer and more importantly, I hope that our first three days back in school with students was amazing from everyone's perspective! We had a great three days as a staff preparing for the year both in the classroom as well as setting goals. The main goal that we want to continue to grow is our RELATIONSHIP. These relationships are between students/students, students/staff, staff/staff, and staff/patrons.
How do you do this? You make it a priority. When we discussed what this looks like we also made it a priority to look what it looks like from other's shoes as well. Did you know that relationships can be formed while working on assignments within class? From short conversations, to opinion pieces, to reflections, these opportunities allow us to see what others think and what they stand for. This creates more dialog outside of the subject area. Self-reflection is a great tool when utilized and the discussion that we had makes me really excited to see all the great things we will accomplish in and out our school.
In conclusion, we are looking forward to walking together with you on this journey over the next nine months and we are excited to see the growth from all of us!
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Learning is rooted in relationships, and supportive relationships can unleash the potential of every student."
Michael Fullan and Maria Langworthy
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
