🌼 A Message to Our JFK Families

April is a month of growth, awareness, and celebration at JFK! As we move into the spring season, we are proud of the hard work our students and staff have shown and look forward to the exciting events ahead.

FUN RUN IS OFFICALLY HERE!!! FUN RUN IS OFFICALLY HERE!!!

Fun Run Kick Off

Help us reach our $18,000 for field trips and field day. We extended our goal because we already reached our initial goal of $10,000! ⬇️

1. SIGN UP your student(s) on MyBooster.com.

2. SHARE with your family/friends using the SHARE tools on MyBooster.com.

3. GIVE a donation.

And when we hit our registration goal of 50%, all students will get a Day Pass to Great Wolf Lodge. Share your page this weekend to earn entries in the Great Wolf Lodge giveaway - A one night stay!

Families are allowed to come and cheer their children on during the Fun Run on Thursday. We ask that families limit their stay to 30 minutes, so we have a manageable crowd. Our School Resource Officers (RPD) will be present, and we anticipate having an amazing day!

We will be at the basketball courts on Thursday, and we are accepting refreshment donations as well, preferably water or 100% juices.

The finalized schedule will be sent to families tomorrow. Please plan to come at the time of your child's run, so we can maintain manageable crowds.

Reminder: Our big JFK Randolph Fun Run is coming up on 04/09/2026! We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Thank you again for supporting our school!

  • Students worked hard to reach puzzle goals
  • Teams competed weekly in bracket-style challenges
  • Final school competitions ran from March 30 – April 3
  • The winning teams were Ms. Howard, Ms. Alaoui, & Ms. Charles' classes!!!
  • The winning teams are moving on to compete against other RPS Elementary Schools in the District Mathness (April 6–10)

We are so proud of their perseverance and problem-solving skills!

March Madness

For educators, March Madness has a totally different meaning, as it is a month with almost no breaks. As a way to keep spirits high, administration orchestrated a weekly waffle that educators enter through their attendance for great prizes! See our JFK March Madness Winners of prizes like an Iron Flask Metal Cup, Dunkin Donuts Package, and a Spa Staycation Goodiebag!

One Goal

This April, we celebrate Neurodiversity and Autism Awareness Monthβ€”a time to honor the many ways our brains work and the unique strengths each student brings to our community.

A special thank you to Kathryn Doyle for visiting classrooms and leading meaningful conversations with students about neurodiversity. Our students demonstrated empathy, curiosity, and kindness throughout these lessons.

✨ Students created capes celebrating individuality are proudly displayed in the cafeteria hallwayβ€”be sure to encourage your child to take a look!

FAMILY CONNECTION & COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITY FAMILY CONNECTION & COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITY

Stay Connected with Our JFK Community Connections

Our school is working to create a Community Connections directory to support family-owned businesses and services within our school community. Participation is voluntary. Information will be used to strengthen community partnerships and may be shared with JFK families and staff.

Thank you to all the families who participated in our Family Connections Directory thus far! If you have not had a chance to join yet, we encourage you to participate! Being part of the directory is a great way to stay connected with other JFK families and continue building our supportive school community.

Help Us Grow: JFK Courtyard Rejuvenation 🌱

We are excited to share that JFK Elementary is beginning a courtyard rejuvenation project! Our school is fortunate to have a beautiful enclosed outdoor space, and we are looking forward to transforming it into a place for learning, growing, and enjoyment for our scholars.

We are currently in Phase I: Gathering Donations & Building Our Team

We are seeking support from families and the community in identifying:

- Local businesses that may be willing to donate

- Women-owned and/or BIPOC-owned floral shops

Gardening materials such as:

-Soil

-Gardening gloves

-Gardening tools

-Non-GMO seeds

-Seedlings

-Any additional gardening supplies

Once materials are collected, we will host a Community Clean-Up Day.

This is a wonderful opportunity to build community, support our school, and create something meaningful for our children.
