Chrome Incognito Window

Chrome has an "incognito" option for web browsing. This may come in handy if you want to view your website or a shared doc from the public perspective. Opening the URL in an incognito window would allow you to view your website/doc as a parent or student might see it.

You could also use an incognito window if a colleague wants to sign into Google Drive from your computer without having to sign out of your own account.

To open an incognito window in Google Chrome (on your Macbook), click File > New Incognito Window.

EdTech Tools

Check out this Google Sheet of educational technology tools. The spreadsheet includes a description for each tool; there are also some classroom integration ideas mentioned. Feel free to add YOUR favorite tool to the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Voice Typing Update

Many of our students have been using the voice typing feature that is embedded in Google Docs since its release last year. Google recently added more ways to format and customize content with just your voice. You can now change text color, delete words, insert links and comments, add tables, and much more. To activate, click Tools > Voice Typing in any editable Google Doc. For more information, click here.
