EDITION: OCTOBER 2026 EDITION: OCTOBER 2026

Hello Eagle Rock Families!
What a start to the school year! Our Owls have been busy learning, growing, exploring, and showing their Scholarship and OWL Pride by being safe, respectful, and responsible in everything they do and everywhere they go! We’ve completed our beginning-of-year benchmark testing and our first safety drills, celebrated a terrific Title Literacy Night, watched our fifth graders head off to Outdoor School, welcomed Calves in the Classroom, and—most importantly—seen some first-rate teaching and learning happening every day. I especially love hearing students walk through our doors each morning and tell me, “I’m ready to learn!”

October promises to be just as busy, with fall field trips, Spirit Week, our Walk-a-Thon, Fall Fun Fest, and lots more learning ahead. This month we’ll also focus on Respect—seeing the good in people and things and treating them with care. And remember: If you’re missing school, you’re missing out! And here’s a little sneak peek beyond October: on November 6, we will hold our Veterans Appreciation Assembly, so watch for more information later this month.

There is lots of information in this month’s newsletter, so please take a few minutes to look through it. And listen for my October robocall Friday evening—I’ll give you the highlights and, of course, no Eagle Rock robocall would be complete without a Dad Joke or two. After all, we work hard and we play hard...we can’t help it...we’re OWLS!

Have a wonderful October, Eagle Rock!

It's not too late to help at Fall Festival! Currently, there are only a few people/businesses signed up to help and we'd love to get a few more to make this a memorable night. You're even welcome to set up a trunk-or-treat style booth inside! Or donate some candy! However you can help, we'd appreciate it.
