✍️ Writing Their Way to Success! 🚀
Congratulations to our very own Rockets, Caroline Avery (1st Place) and Caralynn Rollheiser (2nd Place), for their outstanding achievements in the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718 Americanism Essay Contest!
Through their thoughtful essays, both students did an incredible job expressing what patriotism means to them, sharing their appreciation for our country and the values that make it special! Both students will advance to the Elks Northwest Ohio District Competition.
We are so proud of these talented young writers for representing Oak Harbor with excellence! Best of luck at the next level!
A Solemn Salute: Honoring the Life and Service of Sergeant Jacob Roesler
On October 22nd, the halls and classrooms of Oak Harbor High School grew quiet as our students and staff stepped outside to honor the life and service of fallen Clay Township Police Sergeant Jacob Roesler.
As the solemn procession passed by, the overwhelming show of respect and support was both humbling and deeply moving. It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
We are incredibly proud of our students, who stood together with such remarkable dignity, respect, and reverence. In a moment when words could never be enough, their quiet presence spoke volumes.
To Sergeant Roesler's family, fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him, the entire B-C-S community extends our deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Sergeant Roesler. May you rest in peace.
