Dear U-32 Families, Students, and Caregivers,

We had a welcome (if not a bit abrupt) last day of school today. Thank you all for sharing your year of learning with us. Over the past few weeks, we have listened to students and worked together as a staff community to have renewed commitment to Relevance, Community and Connection, and Equity and Belonging. These themes emerged from survey data, focus groups, and observations. As we move into next year, we will work together, with you all as partners to deepen each of these in service of learning and growth.

To end the year, we danced in the new Senior class. Welcome, Class of 2026, we are excited for your leadership and spirit! Thank you for celebrating your first moment as seniors with music and dancing. We look forward to more of that (and lots of learning) in the fall.

We know that many of you might have been mid assessment or reperforming. Students will hear from their teachers directly about plans for closing out work by noon on Monday. Thank you for your understanding with this last minute switch and stay cool!

Hello everyone,

On Wednesday, June 13th, we held the first Middle School Masked Singer. This event was inspired by the show, Masked Singer. The show consists of singers that are masked, and guessers that try to guess who the masked singer is. We gathered some willing teachers to become our singers, and the students to be our guessers. We had a friendly competition between the middle school cores. Each core nominated 4 members from their core to be the guessers that earned points for their core. After each singer sang, the students recorded their guess on a paper. After all the singers sang, the papers were gathered and points were tallied. Maple and Spruce core both ended tied at six points even after a tie breaker round. With five minutes left of our Masked Singer, we invited students to sing karaoke. We had so much fun planning this event for you, we hope you had just as much fun as we did. Thank you for being a great audience, and special thanks to our singers! We also want to shout out Anne Decker and Amy Molina for making this possible!
