Please make it your best effort to stay on top of turning in assignments on time. Teachers are always available during Lunch and Learn if extra help is needed. With the everchanging weather, please make sure students are prepared to pivot in the event of a weather related closure resulting in a FID day.

Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS)/Extended Essay(EE)
Ms. Alyssa Sherlock CAS/EE Supervisor
Senior CAS/Graduation Project Spotlight: Rishabh Jain, Eera Rohatgi, Neil Thakkar, Neel Srinivasan, Joey Hallinan, and Claire Morraye pitched an idea to Upper Uwchlan Township for a field day for teenagers to come out and play games such as spikeball, pickleball, volleyball etc, and the idea was accepted! The students did all of the planning and organization, and hosted this event at Hickory Park in October 2025. The goal was to promote positive mental health and the prevention of drug use, but this event also served as a way for teenagers to have healthy recreation and meet others around the area. These students were also instrumental in creating a Teen Advisory Board with the township, and they believe that there is an authentic need in the community for free events like this one to encourage teens from all over the area to interact.
Class of 2026 [Seniors]:
CAS:
Students should continue adding evidence to their CAS Experiences, and a personal reflection to their CAS Project, as they keep ManageBac up to date!
Course Candidate students may submit their completed Graduation Project Presentations any time before March 2026.
EE:
Students must meet with their EE Advisor for the 3rd and final interview (“Viva Voce”) and complete RPPF #3 by January 30, 2026.
Final Extended Essays are due to BOTH Turnitin and ManageBac by February 1, 2026. The paper that is uploaded to Turnitin is what will be submitted to the IB for assessment. Format requirements are on Schoology (see checklist!). Essays without works cited/bibliographies or in-text (parenthetical) citations are not accepted. All three RPPFs, along with the Supervisor’s Comment from your EE Advisor, are also downloaded and submitted to the IB as part of the EE assessment. These are considered as part of Criterion E: Engagement on the grading rubric.
Class of 2027 [Juniors]:
CAS:
Students should have their CAS Plan (“Aims and Goals”) in ManageBac by now, along with at least one CAS Experience entry for each strand (Creativity, Activity, and Service). With this as a basis, they should start thinking about a CAS Project and forming a group.
EE:
Students will be selecting their EE Pathway (Subject-Specific or Interdisciplinary) and Subject this month. They are encouraged to read through the EE Student Handbook on Schoology, as well as example essays for different subject areas. Once established, students may begin researching their topics to see the depth and breadth of information that is available.

PSAT/NMSQT Update for 10th and 11th Grade Students
On Thursday, Nov. 6th, our 10th and 11th grade students who took the PSAT/NMSQT on Oct. 16th will be able to access their score reports. Please note that the score release date is set by College Board and is based on the date our school gave the test.
If your student provided their mobile number on test day or during test set-up, they will receive a text message with access to the BigFuture School mobile app to view their scores. If your student didn’t provide a mobile number, or prefers to access their score report online, they can do so by logging into their College Board account (studentscores.collegeboard.org). Students will need to create an account if they don’t already have one.
The PSAT/NMSQT score can be useful to students in several ways. It gives them valuable practice for the SAT, insight into how to prepare, and opens opportunities for scholarships and recognition. You can read more about these opportunities here: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt/scores/using-your-score. College Board has also created a helpful video to walk you through accessing scores and how to use them: https://youtu.be/LJEeKZxLjpA?si=9RQXa9F9oWrnXRwG
If your student is not able to view their scores on Nov. 6th, please contact College Board directly at their customer service number (866-630-9305). The most common reason a student is not able to access their score is because they provided an incorrect name and/or birthdate, and College Board is not able to verify their identity. As counselors, we cannot correct this for the student – they need to reach out to College Board to correct the issue.

We’re excited to welcome two new Freshmen Parents-at-Large to our HSA Board — Megan and Sarah — who were voted in at our last meeting. Please join us in giving them a warm welcome!
There will be no HSA meeting in December as we take time to celebrate the holidays. We’ll resume in January with a special session featuring Mrs. Hewitt and Mrs. Glowik, who will be speaking about college application preparation — an incredibly valuable topic for families of all grade levels.
We also have a few fun December events coming up — we hope to see you there!

It’s time to start collecting prizes for every senior who attends Post Prom. Students receive their prizes at the end of post prom as an incentive to keep them there for the whole night.
We’re reaching out early so we can take full advantage of holiday sales and assemble the best prize lineup possible. As you’re doing your holiday shopping, please consider adding a prize for Post Prom to your shopping cart.”
Below is an Amazon Wish List of student-friendly prizes.
You’re welcome to purchase directly from the list OR shop around — if you find a better deal elsewhere, that works too! Just send one of our prize coordinators (Kirsten Reeder, Kirsten.reeder@gmail.com, Kelly Sears, Kelsears@gmail.com) an email to let them know, and they will help arrange receipt of the prize.
Thank you for helping us create an amazing, memorable, and safe celebration for our seniors!
