Dear Timberwolf Families,

It was so nice to have some families join us for the Jingle Bell Walk on Friday afternoon. The school went on a community walk and then spent the remainder of the afternoon outside spending time together. We all feel so fortunate to be a part of the wonderful Truedell community!

We are looking forward to hosting families at the second annual "Welcome Winter" evening on Wednesday, December 11th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Families will have the opportunity to come and view all of the decorated classroom doors before voting on their favourites. The theme for this year's doors is "Cozy Up with a Good Book". School Council is providing a free hot chocolate and sweet treat for everyone, as well as free wagon rides around the neighbourhood. The purpose of this event is to bring the community together one last time before we ring in a new year. Please consider attending this wonderful event!

As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or need support.

Take care,

K. Esford, Principal

How Can You help with the TruedELF Shop? How Can You help with the TruedELF Shop?

We are really excited about a new opportunity that we are bringing to Truedell. The students in Mr. Broome's class will be hosting a "Kids Only Shopping Room" on Tuesday, December 17th with the help of Ms. Esford, Mrs. Nolan, Ms. Anderson and Mr. Broome. Students at Truedell will have the opportunity to shop for birthday, holiday or just because gifts for their family at the sale. All items will be gently used donations. The funds raised by this event will support special activities at Truedell including our Winter Clubs.

There are a number of ways that families will be able to support this initiative:

  • Donating gently used items (toys, books, household items, holiday decorations, costume jewelery etc.) between December 2nd and 13th. This is a great way to declutter at home.
  • Donating extra wrapping paper (birthday, holiday, plain), gift bags, tags, bows.
  • Donating your time by helping to wrap gifts with kids on Tuesday, December 17th (if you able able to help on Tuesday, December 17th please email esfordk@limestone.on.ca)
  • Supporting this initiative by sending your child with a few dollars to buy gifts for family on December 17th.
