The G/T Gazette

One of our goals this semester is to serve as a resource for teachers. We want all learners — especially our G/T students — to thrive and grow as they move toward the end of the year. This newsletter will share practical tips and strategies to help YOU support their success.

The TXSS G/T Hub is a resource for you, students, and parents. You can click on the picture above to visit our website. We encourage you to jump in there and dig around. We will add more as the semester progresses.

Our department can also provide one-on-one coaching! If you have a specific question or need help differentiating an assignment or activity, let us know. We will set up a time to brainstorm together.

Normalize failure: Create a "Failure Friday" where students share their biggest mistakes and what they learned, which helps reduce the fear of making mistakes.

In order for a student to be tested during the Spring testing window, the form must be completed by February 28. Any referrals after this date will be processed during the Fall 2026 semester.

Remember that anyone can refer a student: parent, teacher, counselor, or administrator. Students can also self-refer.
