🔧 Ag Tech & Mech Systems Competition Success
Mr. Pittman recently took a team of 8th grade students to compete in the Ag Tech & Mechanical Systems event at the Tarleton Area CDEs. This competition challenges students to apply their knowledge of agricultural mechanics, including tool identification, electrical systems, machinery operation, and real-world problem-solving.
Our students competed against high school juniors and seniors from larger 4A and 5A districts, including Waco Midway and Glen Rose—an impressive level of competition for such a young team. They earned 7th place out of 9 teams, gaining valuable experience at a very high level.
Mr. Pittman is incredibly proud of their effort, determination, and willingness to compete up. These students are building a strong foundation as they continue to grow in this pathway over their next four years at Meridian High School. 💛🖤

💛 Capturing Kids’ Hearts – April Focus
April is a time when perseverance matters most. As we move through a busy and important part of the school year, we are focusing on helping our students understand the value of not giving up—even when things feel challenging.
Perseverance means:
- Staying focused when work gets tough
- Continuing to try, even after mistakes
- Pushing forward with a positive attitude
Our teachers are working hard to encourage students to believe in themselves and recognize how much they have grown this year. Whether it’s in the classroom, during activities, or preparing for upcoming assessments, we want every student to know that effort and determination make a difference.
You can support this at home by encouraging your child to keep trying, celebrate their progress, and remind them that success doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from not quitting.
At Meridian, we are proud of the grit and determination our students show every day. Let’s keep pushing forward—together. 💛🖤
🎓Senior Spotlights 🎓
**Note: Senior Spotlights will feature 2-3 Seniors per week in the newsletters. Students will be put in the newsletter in the order they are received. Reminder that students who do not submit photos will only have their bio posted.**
The journey to graduation is filled with achievements, friendships, and unforgettable moments. Meridian High School is proud to shine a spotlight on this year’s seniors, celebrating their hard work, stories, and the bright futures ahead. Join us in recognizing the Class of 2026 — each week in our newsletter, we’ll share personal highlights and memories from our amazing seniors.
