Dragon News

Hi CPS Families,

It's hard to imagine that September comes to an end next week. The leaves are changing quickly and soon we will be in full swing of colder weather and shorter days. In October, we have lots of events happening here at school. Many students have asked about Halloween and we will be discussing this as a staff on Tuesday and will keep you posted about our plan in an upcoming Dragon News.

This week in classrooms, I had the pleasure of observing many apple themed activities such as apple volcanoes and apple treats made while integrating writing and science. The educators here at CPS are including fun in their lesson plans which makes CPS the best! Have a great weekend!

Dear parents,

School pictures are ready!

To order, log in to your account on mylifetouch.com or create an account using your student's student ID number.

All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card.

More about the Smilesafe program here.

Thank you!

Please direct any email regarding student absences and/or student dismissals to your child's teacher AND to our CPS office staff, Mae Slevinsky (mslevinsky@rsu18.org) and Bobbie Weymouth (bweymouth@rsu18.org).

Please be sure to communicate any changes for end of day dismissal plans prior to 2:00pm so students can be sure to receive their notes.

Welcome back! Please make sure to send in your health history forms and any other health related forms ASAP so that we have all the information needed to take the best care of our students. As a reminder, please DO NOT send any medications including inhalers and epipens in with your child. ALL medications must be brought to school by an adult and handed off to the nurse (or appropriate staff if the nurse is unavailable).

Flu shot clinic will be held on October 2nd here at CPS. Please make sure your child wears a short sleeve shirt if they will be getting a flu shot. Only students who have returned signed permission forms will be receiving a flu shot.

Just a friendly reminder to please send students in sneakers on their Phys Ed days. Proper footwear helps keep everyone safe and ready to participate in all activities!

Next meeting is Thursday, October 2 at 6pm on Google Meet! Here's the link: https://meet.google.com/tks-adrj-vkn

• We sell tickets during the craft show and pull the winners at the end.

On the PTO Facebook page, we are voting on themes for the baskets. Join the vote!
